Disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was rushed out of federal prison in an ambulance early Saturday morning after suffering a mysterious head injury, adding another troubling twist to his increasingly chaotic life behind bars.
The 56-year-old rapper was transported from the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix in New Jersey around 1 a.m. Oct. 10, according to sources familiar with the incident who spoke to TMZ.
Prison officials reportedly arranged emergency medical treatment after Combs sustained an injury to his head, although the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
It has not been established exactly how the former hip-hop heavyweight was injured or whether another inmate was involved.
Despite the late-night emergency, Combs apparently escaped serious harm.
Sources told TMZ that the rapper was conscious and speaking when he returned to the correctional facility before sunrise Saturday, suggesting the injury was not life-threatening.
Initial reports did not confirm which medical facility treated Combs, although the ambulance reportedly transported him outside the prison grounds for evaluation.
The unexpected medical scare comes as the once-powerful entertainment executive faces mounting scrutiny over allegations that he has been enjoying special privileges while serving his federal prison sentence.

Combs was recently placed in the prison’s Special Housing Unit following reports that he had access to prohibited items and unusually comfortable living arrangements.
According to previous reporting, the former Bad Boy Records founder allegedly received massages, consumed alcohol and used a contraband cellphone containing explicit photographs.
Other allegations suggested he enjoyed special meals and had fellow inmates performing personal chores, raising questions about whether the disgraced celebrity was receiving treatment unavailable to ordinary prisoners.
The reported privileges prompted renewed attention from prison officials, with Combs subsequently transferred to restrictive housing while the allegations were examined.
It was not his first disciplinary headache at Fort Dix.
Back in July, Combs reportedly became involved in a physical confrontation with another inmate, an incident that also landed him in solitary confinement.
However, authorities have not established any connection between that earlier altercation and Saturday’s unexplained head injury.
Making matters worse for the fallen entertainment mogul, his anticipated release from federal custody has recently been pushed back.
Diddy was previously scheduled to leave prison in January 2028, but his projected release date has since shifted to March 2, 2028, according to federal prison records.
The change followed reports of disciplinary violations, although the Bureau of Prisons has declined to publicly explain the specific reasons for the revised date.
Combs is serving a 50-month sentence after a federal jury convicted him in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
He was acquitted of the more serious racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges following a closely watched trial that exposed allegations about his private life and treatment of women.
The convictions marked a stunning downfall for a man who once commanded enormous influence across the music, fashion and entertainment industries.
Now, with his release date pushed back and another medical incident raising questions about his time in custody, Combs faces a very different reality from the luxury lifestyle he once enjoyed.
