What’s wrong with big name movie stars affirming their patriotic commitment to the Constitution, you might wonder?
If only that were the whole story —
but of course it’s not.
Thursday actually was Constitution Day; the federal observance commemorating when delegates signed their names in ink on the US Constitution in Philadelphia way back in 1787.
On the surface, that’s the reason being given as to why a slew of Hollywood types joined together in proclaiming their undying fealty and principled devotion to one of America’s founding documents. (
Yes, that’s my sarcasm showing through — and for good reason, as it turns out!)
Let’s start with the simple video montage, shall we?
Here’s the clip put out by the group behind ‘The Oath Project’ at the heart of this story:

The fact that the midterm elections just kicked off coupled with the well documented TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome if you haven’t been paying attention) shared by the personalities in that clip are a definite red flag for me right out of the gate.
A quick glance at the official website from the group that started “The Oath Project” ALMOST dispelled those red flags, with their “nonpartisan civic initiative” language.
Here’s how they attempted to cast themselves, as you can read in this
press release on the ACS (American Constitution Society) website:
Washington, DC — Today, on Constitution Day, the American Constitution Society is proud to announce The Oath Project, a nonpartisan civic initiative inviting people across the country to record and share a short video of themselves taking an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.
The project aims to inspire millions of people to take the oath with friends, family members, neighbors, classrooms, faith communities, civic groups, and local organizations on Constitution Day and beyond.
“Today, September 17, is Constitution Day—a time to celebrate our nation’s founding document and reflect on the responsibilities we share in sustaining our democracy,” said ACS President Phil Brest. “At a moment when we must all commit to the preservation of our rights and freedoms, this project offers a simple but meaningful way to affirm our commitment to the Constitution and our democracy.”
A wide range of prominent Americans—from the arts to the legal community, from veterans to the business community— have already reaffirmed their commitment to America’s promise by taking the oath. (Emphasis added.)
On the surface, that seems to paint a much more benign picture than some conservative outlets have covered this story.
But a few things start to emerge, if you look deeper.
For one thing, classic oaths to ‘support and defend the Constitution of the United States’ generally include a reference of relying on divine help in doing so.
God was noticeably left out of this oath, as reported by
Breitbart:
Left-wing actors Jamie Lee Curtis, Robert De Niro, Noah Wyle, and Martin Sheen have lent their likenesses to a virtue-signaling political PSA, solemnly recording themselves pledging an oath to “defend the Constitution” ahead of the midterm elections.
“Hi, I’m Jamie Lee Curtis, Noah Wyle, Robert De Niro, J. Michael Luttig, Ramón Gerard Estévez, AKA Martin Sheen, Dr. Isaiah Ike Wilson III, Colonel United States Army retired,” each individual said in a video posted to the American Constitution Society’s Instagram account.
“And I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” the group said.
The script recited by the celebrities resembles the oath of office used by members of Congress and other officials, military personnel, and new citizens — though the exact wording varies slightly in each case.
The Hollywood elites omitted the words, “So help me God,” a phrase that appears in all aforementioned versions of the oath. (Emphasis added.)
Truth be told, I would almost be more surprised if the known Hollywood leftists had actually invoked God in their sudden rise to patriotic heights!
But a little further digging told the true story about the ACS, as well as this celebrity influencer campaign suddenly rallying to the Constitution… just in time for midterms.

Please forgive my crudeness, but credit me for not being even more explicit!)
Progressive this, LGBTQ+ that, and multiple mentions regarding the ‘FOUNDING FAILURES’ of the Constitution… tells me all I need to know.
The American Constitution Society isn’t trying to ‘support and defend’ the Constitution any more than the Trump-hating leftists in their videos actually love America!
They want to TRASH the Constitution and America — along with it’s true founding principles — and rip it all to shreds in the name of Progressive identity ideology!
Maybe the visceral image of the Constitution ACTUALLY being shredded, which Jamie Lee Curtis shared to her Instagram back in 2018, is a little more in line with her true stance on the Constitution:

Just like the Islamists who suddenly find it acceptable to lie to their enemies…
The anti-God, anti-Constitution, anti-Trump crowd tends to go out of it’s way to HIDE their true intentions.
Even if that means claiming to be pro-Constitution and pro-America.
Support and defend the Constitution, they say?
Oh — they just mean as long as they eventually get to rip it up to their liking.
And as yet another X user quipped, they turn right around and produce one of the most dangerous political groups in America that absolutely hates the Constitution:

The midterms were sure to get spicy.
But they are starting out with even more deception than I imagined.
Keep your head on swivel, folks.
If it looks like a communist, talks like an anti-Constitutionalist, and has a history of TDS —
Chances are it still is… and still does.
Not everything with ‘Constitution’ in the name is actually pro-Constitution.
But pretty much every Hollywood leftist is still a quack.
