Biden tapes confirm the worst: Joe broke law by releasing classified information

Joe Biden had his lawyers fight for years in the courts to keep the audio tapes of his conversations with a hired ghostwriter secret, and now that they’ve been released the reason is obvious.

In violation of the law, he released classified information over and over to the writer.

The tapes were made when he was delivering information to ghostwriter Mark Zwonitzer, who was working on a Biden memoir after he left the vice presidency when Barack Obama left the White House.

A commentary at Discern Report explained, “Joe Biden’s lawyers fought for more than two years to keep the American people from hearing what their client sounded like in 2016 and 2017. On Monday, we found out why.

“He knew he was handling classified information, and his mind was slipping years before the 2020 campaign ever began,” the report said.

For instance, in April 2017 Biden told Zwonitzer, “Some of this may be classified so be careful with it.”

“He also boasted about keeping extensive personal notes from his years in the White House, remarking that officials there never knew he had them,” the report said. “Stop and consider what that means. This was not a confused old man stumbling into a technical violation. This was a sitting vice president, and later a private citizen, telling a writer with no security clearance that the material in front of them might be classified, and then sharing it anyway.”

The Oversight Project released audio of the recordings after Biden gave up his court battles to keep the public information sealed from the public.

“Joe Biden didn’t want these tapes to come out.”

The report pointed out that special counsel Robert Hur, while investigating classified material found in Biden’s possession, in a garage, an office and other locations, confirmed the facts, then “declined to prosecute, famously reasoning that a jury would view Biden as a sympathetic, ‘well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.'”

The report confirmed the tapes show Biden losing “his train of thought entirely, unable to recall what he intended to ask.”
