Expect Iran to react just as Japan did in 1941 when FDR tried to strangle them economically. Game on. Are you ready for $6 gas?

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has called an emergency press conference for 14:00 American East Coast time. He will announce historic sanctions designed to economically strangle Iran. Tehran has already decided it will not accept slow death. The moment those measures are confirmed, the Iranian response is locked in.
THE ECONOMIC D-DAY STRIKE
Bessent will unveil the heaviest financial isolation yet against Iran.
The explicit aim is to cut off every remaining income stream and bleed the country dry until its leadership is forced to surrender.
This is no ordinary package of restrictions. It targets the very existence of the Iranian system.
THE EXISTENTIAL CALCULATION
Sanctions of this scale do not stay limited to bank accounts, trade blocks, or frozen assets.
When a government becomes convinced it is being economically strangled, the survival equation changes.
The only remaining conclusion becomes a military leap forward.
IRAN’S UNCOMPROMISING ANSWER
The Iranian leadership has made its position clear: it will not accept this slow economic death.
The Revolutionary Guards have stated their response without compromise or ambiguity.
Capitulation is off the table.
THE GULF COUNTERSTRIKE
Tehran is therefore preparing a comprehensive military response against the Gulf states that host American troops, aircraft, and military facilities.
The targets will not be limited to the forces immediately attacking Iran.
The points of origin and the supporting infrastructure themselves move into the crosshairs the moment the sanctions land.
THE BOTTOM LINE
When Bessent announces Economic D-Day, America completes the economic noose. Iran has already chosen its answer: refuse strangulation and strike the Gulf hosts of U.S. power.
The announcement itself becomes the trigger.
