"We Have Guns Too": Totally Drunk Indiana Democrat Goes On Live TV, Makes Ass

A Democratic candidate for local office in deep-red rural Indiana delivered a rambling, apparently intoxicated performance during a televised candidate forum, responding to a standard policy question by declaring she would fire Republicans, calling MAGA supporters racist and unintelligent, and closing with the line "We have guns too."

Jaime West, the Democratic nominee for Fayette County Council District 4, appeared on LocalTV3's October 9 candidate forum, hosted by Connersville News-Examiner managing editor Amy Graham-McCarty. When asked what one decision she would make that might be unpopular with some voters but in the county's best interest, West paused, asked the moderator to repeat the question, and then answered: "Firing all Republicans. I wouldn't let them... I don't even talk to them. I don't like them."

She continued that the county's own state representative had voted against her own party, then shifted to blaming local voters for "this ICE coming into our communities, stealing people's jobs." West distinguished between "good Republicans" and "these MAGAs," describing the latter as "just racist and aren't very intelligent at all." She also claimed she had been "threatened so many times to my face by MAGA," including an allegation that "the sheriff's nephew threatened to blow my head off."

The Fayette County sheriff says he has "5 nieces and 0 nephews."
Sheriff Zac Jones told Fox News Digital he doesn't know West, and Fox noted it wasn't immediately clear which sheriff she meant.

When given a final opportunity for closing remarks to voters, West said, "We have guns too."

The clip, amplified on X by journalist Ryan Grim with the caption noting it was what happens "when you're at happy hour and are reminded you agreed to do an interview about your race," has circulated widely. Viewers and local online commenters have widely described West as appearing intoxicated during the forum. Fayette County, Indiana, is heavily Republican; Donald Trump received roughly 77-78% of the vote there in 2024. West faces Republican Gary Keener Jr. in the November 3 general election. Early voting is already underway.

Watch this to the end, you won't regret it. This is what happens when you're at happy hour and are reminded you agreed to do an interview about your race.

County council seats typically focus on budgets, taxes, and basic local services rather than national immigration or partisan purges. West's on-air answer treated the position as an opportunity to exclude the majority of her potential constituents from consideration.

The full segment remains available on LocalTV3. Neither West nor the Indiana Democratic Party immediately responded to requests for comment from Blaze News, and Fox reported West could not be reached.
