The White House on Sunday floated the name of music superstar Nicki Minaj as the next White House press secretary, after Katie Zacharia’s departure after just five days on the job.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary!” exclaimed Steven Cheung, assistant to the president and White House director of communications.

Aboard Air Force One, Cheung posted video of himself firing questions at Minaj, who is flying to Michigan to campaign with the president as Election Day is just nine days away. The popular rapper reposted the clip along with emojis of an American flag and a smiley face with a teardrop.

“Where do you think the economy is moving under President Trump?” Cheung asked Minaj, as if he were interviewing her for the job.

The entertainer responded: “It’s moving because we have a president that understands economics first of all.”

“The president is naturally a businessman. He’s worked his way out of not having a dollar left in his bank. So if he can do that with himself in his own finances, surely he knows what to do with the country.

“He’s very tough … internationally,” she continued. “He tells them what we need, not what they need. We’re not going to be paying to kiss their a**. They are going to pay us to be affiliated with the United States of America.”

When Cheung asked if there were anyone who works harder than Trump on the campaign trail, Minaj replied, “Absolutely not.”

“You have a man who’s won three elections. The legacy media continues to attack him left and right. And what does he do? He wakes up at 4 o’clock in the morning, he outworks people that are half his age. And what does that say about his character? He knows that he would be fine.

“He could kick his feet up and just chill out for the rest of his presidency. But no, he’s paying it forward, he’s thinking about the other Republicans that have to win during these elections, and so that tells me he’s a great guy.”

The final question posed to Minaj concerned her message to Americans about fake polls trying to influence the voting public.

“Let’s ask Hillary Clinton how fake the fake polls are,” she answered. “We don’t pay those polls any mind.”

“Obviously, they are there to deter our voters from going out and casting their vote. Conservatives, we are winning and we need not let anything stand in our way of … bringing it all the way home to the bank.”

Minaj also posted video of herself sauntering through Air Force One, moments before she had been introduced to Cheung.

While Cheung did not give any indication he was joking about Minaj as press secretary, some initial reaction from conservative journalists has been positive.

“That would be GLORIOUS! Even if JUST for a day,” said Eric Daugherty of RightLine News.

“Maybe Trump should just rotate WH press briefings with some of the greatest patriot all-stars in our movement to toy with the press – he’s basically his own press secretary the rest of the time.”

Benny Johnson of “The Benny Show” indicated: “Her becoming an outspoken Trump supporter has already broken the media. Could she actually get the job? The meltdowns would be glorious.”

Johnson noted that when Zacharia was told her services were no longer needed as press secretary, he himself floated: “The next logical choice for press secretary is going to be somebody who the media will never be able to attack, and would be able to throw it right back at ’em as somebody who is sort of bullet-proof when it comes to libtard attacks and would strike fear in the hearts of all reporters in the White House. And that would be a platinum blonde Nicki Minaj.

“She’s a black woman, she’s a rapper, she’s a superstar. She’s somebody who’s world-famous and she’s also an immigrant and recently naturalized. So what are they gonna do? If you want to play the ‘Cringe’ Jean-Pierre identity-politics game, we all saw how they treated her with kid gloves, why not just make Nicki Minaj the White House press secretary?”

Meanwhile, former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt appeared Friday night with frequent Trump critic Bill Maher to praise the president for making her the youngest press secretary at age 27.

“He gave me the opportunity of a lifetime. I mean, I don’t think I’d be sitting on your show right now if not for him giving me that chance,” Leavitt told Maher.

“I’ve also seen him behind the scenes, as you have, and I know his heart … He’s been nothing but kind, uplifting, encouraging. He did name me the youngest press secretary ever, and a lot of people told him he shouldn’t.”

“He told me that. He said, ‘Honey, lots of people said you were too young, and I told them I was building buildings in Manhattan when I was your age, and you can do it.'”

MAHER: “So is there anything that could make you… not be loyal to whatever he was doing?”

LEAVITT: “He was my boss, but to me, he’s also a friend, and he gave me the opportunity of a lifetime. I mean, I don’t think I’d be sitting on your show right now if not for him giving me that chance.”

Maher also admitted to Leavitt that he approves of Trump’s building of a ballroom at the White House.

WATCH: (Warning: Video clip does contain an obscene word)

Bill Maher ADMITS he doesn’t give a “sh*t” that President Trump is building a White House ballroom, BOLDLY stating America does need a ballroom instead of holding state dinners in a muddy, gross tent on the South Lawn. “I don’t give a **** about any of this. I like the ballroom. America does need a ballroom.”

Bill Maher: “I see now he wants to get rid of the press pool in the White House and make it into an actual swimming pool. Did you see that?”

Karoline Leavitt: “I have seen it. Yes, I have seen it. Look, it was a swimming pool at one time. In fact, if you go in the stairs underneath where the briefing room is, you can actually see the tile from where the pool used to be. So, he just maybe wants to restore it to all of its glory. I don’t know if he’ll do it, but he’s been flirting with it.”

Bill Maher: “I don’t give a **** about any of this. I like the ballroom. America does need a ballroom.”

Karoline Leavitt: “I love that. We do.”

Bill Maher: “Yeah, absolutely. It’s the United States of America. We’re having dinner in the grass. It’s stupid.”

Karoline Leavitt: “Under a tent with mud on your feet, you’re wearing these expensive shoes. I don’t know about those ones, but maybe.”

“Maybe if you went to the White House, you would spruce it up.”
