As President Donald Trump touted major economic victories for his administration on Sunday, he blasted the American media for covering them up, voicing the possibility they may wish the U.S. “to be destroyed.”
Appearing on “Sunday Morning Futures” on the Fox News Channel, the president discussed his latest prize, the decision by Audi to build a “brand new, gorgeous plant” in Macon, Georgia, that will produce some 200,000 cars per year.

“Here’s the biggest problem I have,” Trump told anchor Larry Kudlow. “The press just doesn’t want to talk about it. They don’t want to talk about, Larry. They know what’s going on.”
“They’re very smart. But they’re left. They’re radical left. It’s almost like they want the country to be destroyed. We’re the envy of everybody in the world including China.”
The president explained there is massive foreign investment at present, saying: “We have $22.2 trillion coming into the United States.”
“And Biden, he did a half a trillion for four years. I’m doing 22.2 [trillion] in 15 months.”
He added regarding the media, “Nobody wants to write anything positive. All they say is gasoline is high.”
“The gasoline will drop like a rock. I was at $1.85 in Iowa the day before I said we have to take care of this Iranian problem. … But it’s gonna come down even lower than that and it’s gonna come down fast and it’s very soon.”
Kudlow, who served as the director of the National Economic Council in the first Trump administration, told Trump that if Republicans lose control of Congress in November, gasoline prices will skyrocket higher.
“If you put the Democrats back in power, they’ll end fossil fuels, they’ll go back to the crazy Green New Deal. They’ll stop gasoline. They want $10 or $15 [per gallon] gasoline,” Kudlow said.
“Look at what’s happening in California. They don’t have an affordability platform, they never have. They hate cars, they hate fossil fuels, they don’t want us to be energy independent.”
Concerning the push by many Democrats for “Medicare for all,” Trump said: “It’s socialized medicine and it has never worked. It’s expensive. People that have cancer, they can’t see you for nine months. It’s crazy.”
Trump also slammed former President Barack Obama for his disastrous deal with that enabled Iran to develop nuclear weapons.
“That may have been the worst and dumbest deal I’ve ever seen. He gave them billions and billions of cash,” Trump explained.
“He tried to buy his way out of it and they used it to try and create nuclear weapons and they bought missiles all over the place.”
