President Trump has just given his final speech before the midterm elections tomorrow.
Very fittingly, he delivered his closing remarks while standing in front of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, which is officially re-opening today after being vandalized over the summer.
While announcing the pool’s re-opening, President Trump couldn’t resist trolling the media with a joke about re-naming it the Trump Reflecting Pool!
Watch for yourself:
"We're giving serious thought to changing the name to the Trump Reflecting Pool… I'm only kidding."
"Please don't report it… they'll cut it off and they'll say, he's changing the name."

“We’re giving serious thought to changing the name to the Trump Reflecting Pool… I’m only kidding.”
“Please don’t report it… they’ll cut it off and they’ll say, he’s changing the name.”
President Trump jokes about renaming the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool after himself while announcing its reopening, even suggesting Interior Secretary Doug Burgum could unveil the change tomorrow.
President Trump also spent some time showing photos of the damage that leftists caused to the Reflecting Pool before he fixed it up for a second time:

President Trump just showed the American people PHOTOS of exactly what his team INHERITED at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool — cracks, rusted pipes, blown-out joints, and materials that were NEVER going to last.
“Obama and Biden put in much of it. But it was all very DEFECTIVE material and that’s one of the reasons it leaked so badly.”
“It was a mess and it was leaking like a SIEVE.”
And now, it’s reopened!
And, here are some photos of the pool — looking more beautiful than ever:

During his closing remarks before midterms, President Trump also touted his administration’s achievements so far and torched communist candidates like Abdul El-Sayed who want to ruin our country.
Here’s a summary of his final speech ahead of tomorrow’s elections:
- Delivered a nearly hour-long speech at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, framing it as his closing argument ahead of Election Day and announcing the pool’s official reopening after a months-long, problem-plagued renovation he had ordered.
- Opened with more than 20 minutes focused primarily on the Reflecting Pool itself, declaring it “better and more beautiful than it’s ever been before,” displaying an image of prior algae, and repeating claims that vandals caused the damage and delays (despite prior court statements attributing issues to a contractor’s botched work).
- Expanded on broader Washington, D.C., beautification and infrastructure efforts, including cracking down on crime, refurbishing other monuments and sites, plans for a massive triumphal arch, a promenade along the Potomac River, a “National Garden of American Heroes” with 250–500 statues, and renovating a public golf course facing legal challenges.
- First explicitly addressed the midterms around the 23-minute mark, calling them “the most important midterm, I believe, in our lifetime” and describing the Democratic slate as “the most extreme and dangerous” candidates in American history.
- Touted his administration’s record (including claims of the most secure border in history and keeping more promises than made), criticized specific Democratic candidates by name (such as Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed), and repeated a promise that Republicans winning would result in every American adult receiving $5,000.
- Acknowledged the historical pattern in which the president’s party often underperforms in midterms (“For some reason, the sitting president doesn’t win the midterms”) while stating Republicans had given it “a very strong shot,” and urged voters to “do the right thing.”
- Briefly touched on preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon before returning to discussion of the pool and related projects; joked about possibly renaming the pool the “Trump Reflecting Pool.”
