President Donald Trump accused the Iranian government of indiscriminately killing protesters during a bilateral press conference with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Tuesday.

“I believe that by doing what we did, by terminating Iran… very evil people leading that country, you saw the number of protesters that they killed, 52,000-plus,” Trump said while speaking to reporters in the Oval Office. “I put a couple of them up today. Young kids, they kill them. They kill them… like they’re candy.”

“It’s crazy what they do,” the president continued. “They’re just killing people just at random.”

Trump has repeatedly slammed Tehran over its harsh crackdown on protesters this year. In February, he announced that Tehran had killed 32,000 protestors.

The president did not offer a source for the number of protesters killed in February, nor did he do so on Tuesday while speaking with Aoun.

“Over 52,000 people and nobody talks about it,” Trump said about the protesters killed.

The U.S. has consistently bombed Iran for more than one week in the fallout from the memorandum of understanding falling apart. Trump bragged again about decimating Iran and claiming it would take them decades to recover.

TRUMP VOWS IRAN WILL ‘PAY’ FOR KILLING US TROOPS. WHAT COMES NEXT?

“They can’t have a nuclear weapon right now,” Trump said. “It would take them years to produce it, and we will absolutely attack. Any site where they’re even thinking about nuclear, we’ll be hitting it very, very powerfully.”
