Leftists are deeply dedicated to their belief that to kill the unborn is a good thing, that even taxpayers should be paying for the slaughter.

James Talarico, the far-left Democrat Socialist candidate for Senate in Texas, is among those.

He also calls himself a “Christian” and still defends the killing of the unborn.

In fact, he claimed during a recent appearance that since the Bible is “silent” on abortion, people have to read different passages to come to a conclusion.

And he got demolished by the facts.

Talarico finally called out by a Catholic Texan. “The Bible is silent on the issue of abortion…” “The Bible is NOT silent on abortion. There is the Ten Commandments—Though shalt not kill, and as Catholics, we take great insult when it’s spouted that way.” *Applause* https://t.co/8l1kUM9ece

It was during an event pushed by CNN, a town hall type of event.

He said, “We’re both Christians and the Bible is silent on the issue of abortion. It means you and I both have to look at different scriptures to try to come to a conclusion.”

But the response from Jody Hunt, a “Catholic professor,” “Ahh, but the Bible is not silent on abortion. There is the Ten Commandments, thou shalt not kill, and as Catholics we take great insult sometimes when it’s spouted that way.”

A commentary posted at Not the Bee followed up:

“Imagine if he actually had to face a conservative who knows the Bible’s teaching in Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 9:5-7, Exodus 21:22-25, Exodus 20:13, Psalm 139:13-16, Proverbs 6:16-17, Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 127:3, and Matthew 18:10,” the commentary said. “Would Talafreako ignite in flames if child sacrifices to Molech were mentioned?”

It quoted from the Bible: “The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Say to the people of Israel, Any one of the people of Israel or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones. I myself will set my face against that man and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given one of his children to Molech, to make my sanctuary unclean and to profane my holy name.'”

Historically, the god “Molech” demanded burnt offerings: children.

Talarico repeatedly has made his wild claims about the Bible, and earlier was rebuked by Franklin Graham, chief of the Samaritan’s Purse worldwide Christian ministry.

He said it is “an absolute lie” for Talarico to claim the Bible does not condemn killing babies before birth.

At that time, the leftist claimed, “I trust Texas women to make decisions about their own bodies, to shape their own destinies in consultation with their family members, their doctors, their faith leaders. I don’t believe that’s a place for government. Jesus never talks about abortion. The Bible is silent on abortion.”

Talarico, Graham charged, “couldn’t be more wrong! The Bible is not silent on abortion as he claims — that’s an absolute lie. God commands us, ‘You shall not murder’ (Exodus 20:13). Abortion is taking a life — it is murder.”

He continued, “Jeremiah 1:5 says, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…’”

Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, accused Talarico of trying “to hide behind Jesus to defend abortion.”

“‘The Bible is silent,’ he says. Yeah, that’s not how this works. The Bible is explicit. God didn’t stutter when He commanded us not to kill innocent humans. Scripture makes it completely clear how He feels about preborn babies, explicitly stating that He knit us together in the womb and knew us before we were even born.”
