‘They Can’t Coexist With Me’: Democrat Lawmaker Blasts Far-Left Socialists

Although a few names on the left, including Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), have spoken out forcefully against the Democrat Party’s socialist uprising, many elected officials have chosen to remain silent or voice support for the movement.

This week, one more high-profile Democrat joined the group willing to call out the party’s newfound extremism.

As The Hill reported:

Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) went after left-wing streamer Hasan Piker and members of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) on Thursday, saying the two “can’t coexist with me.”

“Well, I mean, we’re going to see if we can coexist with them. I mean, they can’t coexist with me.” Moskowitz told Fox Business Network’s Stuart Varney on “Varney & Co.” while discussing Piker and the DSA.

His remarks sparked some social media discussion:

Politico added this earlier in the week:

THE WIRE taught us: “You come at the king, you best not miss.” That same rule applies to extremely online members of Congress.

Rep. Jared Moskowitz became the latest moderate Democrat to push back against the democratic socialist surge on the left, trouncing Oliver Larkin in Florida’s 25th last night, likely handing Democrats their best shot at retaining the newly redrawn district meant to favor Republicans.

But that’s just the start for Moskowitz, who’s eyeing a Washington-sized role in the Democratic Party’s ongoing civil war.
