It may not be “news” that you’re reading from some well-known online sources. It could be a political agenda disguised as “reporting.”

That essentially has been confirmed by a new study exposing that Apple News, created and run by the leftist activists at Apple, over and over pushed “negatively framed” stories about Republicans in the run-up to the midterm elections.

And zero “positive stories about GOP-aligned issues.”

A report posted by Fox News explains, “Apple News pushed more than 80 stories that negatively framed the issues Republicans care about during the lead-up to midterm elections, MRC Free Speech America Vice President Dan Schneider says.”

It was the Media Research Center that investigated Apple’s political bias.

“Apple News promoted more than 80 stories that negatively framed the issues Republicans care about during the lead-up to the midterm elections while promoting zero positive stories about GOP-aligned issues,” the researchers found.

“The MRC, a conservative media watchdog, analyzed Apple News’ top 20 stories from Sept. 15-30 and found that voters who rely on the platform for information were fed roughly five stories per day that negatively characterized the Republicans’ top 10 policy priorities. During that same period, Apple News, which comes preinstalled on every iPhone in America, did not promote a single story that positively framed a Republican priority, according to the study,” the report said.

MRC chief David Bozell explained, “Millions of voters open that app before they vote, and Apple’s editors are in there like a bartender who waters down only one party’s drinks. Come on, Apple, tell us who picks these stories and why Republicans got the whole bad-news buffet.”

The conclusion from MRC staff members who did the study was that there’s a “growing body of evidence that the platform’s editors continue to curate its feeds to push a left-wing political agenda.”

The study authors found, “In short, Apple News ensured that immigration was framed through court defeats and sensationalist stories; the economy through high gas prices; law and order through positive portrayals of police abolition; cuts to government through accusations of radicalism; foreign policy through portrayals of America’s adversaries as warriors; and efforts to curb waste through claims of unlawful cuts.”

Apple News, and other online “news” pages, long have been seen as promoting leftist causes and opposing conservative ideas.

Apple News featured 620 stories and not a single one came from a right-leaning outlet. Top stories: 620 Left-leaning: 440 Neutral: 180 Right-leaning: 0 https://t.co/S9h7u53ioB

60% of Americans get their news from Apple, Google, Yahoo, and MSN, and less than 2% of the stories they push come from right-leaning outlets. “Apple News, Google News, Yahoo News, and Microsoft MSN posted less than 2% of stories from right-leaning organizations. What does that tell you?” “Out of 487 top stories last February on Google News, only 11, or 2.2%, were right-leaning. 314, or 64.5%, were left-leaning, and 162 were in the center.” “As for Apple News, last January, out of 620 stories, there were 0 right-leaning ones and 440 left-leaning. Articles on popular websites such as Fox News and the New York Post were never promoted on Apple once. Not one time.”
