As President Donald Trump continues his effort to drain the swamp of Deep State officials, his acting director of national intelligence announced a fresh round of firings Sunday night.
“Since becoming Acting Director of National Intelligence, our team has been smartly, and carefully, reducing the size of ODNI, re-focusing ODNI on national security, the law, and the statute,” Bill Pulte said on X.
“As of this evening, we just finished a 4th round of thoughtful, measured layoffs. Thank you!”
Last month, Trump nominated Pulte to head DNI, asking him “to execute the immediate and needed downsizing of the office, reverting staff to their home agencies. At the same time, I am looking for a permanent ODNI Nominee with experience in National Security.”
“Just like they did on Border Funding, the Radical Left Dumocrats are trying to take our National Security hostage because of unrelated issues. They should stop playing politics with the safety of our Great Country.”

Trump has since nominated U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Jay Clayton to serve as director of National Intelligence once confirmed by the Senate.
In the meantime, Pulte is publicizing success concerning declassification of sensitive government materials.
He praised Trump on X, saying the president “has been amazing on DECLASSIFICATIONS!”
Pulte added: “While it has only been a few weeks since he made me Acting Director of National Intelligence, President Trump has moved at lightning speed to protect our country from foreign influence and give transparency through DECLASSIFICATIONS!”
