Actor Terrence Howard said he’s considering running for president in 2028 if he thinks nobody else in the race is willing to make a real difference.

“Yes. I’m looking forward to becoming president,” the “Empire” star told TMZ.

The outlet questioned Howard further to determine if he was serious.

TMZ shared further:

And when we pressed him on whether he was serious, Terrence didn’t back down … saying, “If they’re not going to make a difference, somebody’s got to do something.”

His potential campaign platform? Reparations.

Terrence told us he’d love to sit down with President Trump to discuss the lasting impact of slavery … arguing descendants of slaves should be exempt from federal taxes for the next 400 years.

He believes the move would help close the economic gap and bring investments into Black communities … calling it a way to heal “400 years of bad karma.”

Howard also talked about Nicki Minaj getting involved with politics and her recent appearance with President Trump at a campaign rally.

“I love the fact that she’s stepping into politics,” Howard said.

“Let’s talk about things that are relevant to our community. What we need as a people,” he added.

Meanwhile, Minaj has been floated as a potential White House press secretary.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary!” White House Communications Director Steven Cheung said.

Newsweek has more:

President Donald Trump said during an interview in Florida on Friday that he would consider rap artist Nicki Minaj or conservative media personality Benny Johnson as his next White House press secretary.

Asked by Johnson, a right-wing political commentator and YouTuber, whether Minaj should become press secretary, Trump replied: “That’s a good idea. I’m going to think about that.”

The president then turned to Johnson and said: “How about you? You’d be pretty good, too.”

Trump’s lighthearted tone left unanswered whether either person is under serious consideration, and raises questions about who the most likely contenders for the role are.

The exchange returns attention to a position that has lacked a permanent occupant for 60 of the past 65 days.

Before Katie Zacharia, a conservative commentator and former communications adviser for Trump Media, took office, the White House went 45 days without a press secretary following Karoline Leavitt’s Aug. 27 departure.
