President Donald Trump’s rally in Texas descended into chaos, with at least six interruptions that saw police forcibly remove hecklers as supporters chanted, “We love you, Daddy Trump!”
Trump traveled to San Antonio on Wednesday to campaign for Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton, marking his third trip to the state, which he won in 2024, in less than a month.
The first heckler was violently yanked to the ground by a man wearing a MAGA hat, leading the president to remark from the podium, “Let me ask you a question — is there anything like a Trump rally?”
Of the second interrupter, Trump said, “That guy’s gotta lose a lot of weight… Many of these protesters are paid. You know that, right?”
He added, “They’re paid by enemies of our nation.”
After the third, as the crowd booed in the heckler’s direction, Trump attempted, “Do we have a good time?” A man in a cowboy hat — seemingly a Trump supporter — swatted at the two interrupters as security escorted them out. A law enforcement officer then stepped in to restrain the Trump supporter as he started to follow them.
“If there are any more paid protesters, please raise your hand and get the hell out of here,” Trump declared.
The fourth interruption came as Trump was taking aim at Democrats, leading him to observe, “They’re getting smaller.”
And at the fifth, who ended up being removed by police with his hands behind his back, Trump laughed and said, “Don’t worry about it… Those are really bad-looking people.”
The sixth interruption involved multiple protesters who were also forcibly escorted out by law enforcement, with Trump supporters getting in their faces as they left.
