The SAVE America Act, which would ramp up the requirements for election integrity across the nation, already had been approved by the House, but has been stalled for an extended period in the Senate.
It now has been approved by the House, again, in a form that could go through the Senate by bypassing Democrat opposition entirely.
It’s because the new plan to require citizenship to register to vote and photo ID to vote is in a reconciliation bill.
The vote was 216-214.
Some Republicans still were calling for a provision to defund Planned Parenthood’s abortion industry-leading operations, but analysts said that would need to be handled later.

The identical bill needs to be adopted in the Senate, but that group has been behind schedule because of the sudden death of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., also has expressed a desire for a government funding deal to be completed first.
Reports said, “The House’s resolution includes spending instructions for four committees: the House Administration Committee at $10 billion, the House Armed Services Committee at $60 billion, the House Agriculture Committee at $12 billion, and the House Intelligence Committee at $13 billion.”
The plan, if successful, would sideline Democrat opposition to election integrity.
Johnson has pledged to incorporate as many provisions of the SAVE America Act as he is allowed.
The spending apparently is to cover $73 billion for the U.S. war with Iran, $12 billion for aid to American farmers, and $10 billion for states to implement election integrity measures in the SAVE America Act.

I am asking all House Republicans to VOTE YES on this very important Budget Resolution. I am watching the vote very closely, and hope Republicans can UNIFY to secure Elections against all forms of Foreign Country Interference, and Illegal Alien voting.”
