Will Vice President JD Vance definitely run for president in 2028?
Millions of Americans have presumed his hat will be tossed in the ring, with many hoping for a continuation of MAGA-style policies.
But Vance may not run for the Oval Office after all.
During a town-hall discussion Saturday night in Flat Rock, Michigan, the vice president was asked about his plans by Tony Dokoupil of CBS News.
“You mentioned a couple of minutes ago that you might be out of a job,” Dokoupil said. “Even in the structure of the sentence, that suggests you would be running for a continued job.”
Vance stressed he has not made up his mind, responding, “Not necessarily.”
Dokoupil then asked point blank: “Is there a chance you don’t run for president in 2028?”
“Of course, there’s a chance,” Vance replied as he revealed the reason.
“We’ve got four little kids.”
“My wife has never loved politics, she loves public service.”
“People ask me this question all the time, and I think they assume ’cause I’m a politician, of course he’s gonna run for president in 2028.”
“The way that I think about life, big life decisions – my wife will tell you this – is I’m a procrastinator. I hate thinking about it.”
“And what will happen is that, first of all, after all these fine people elect Mike Rogers United States senator for the stat of Michigan, what’s gonna happen is, then I’ll have to think about it. And then I will actually have to make a decision. But you know, anything could happen, man.”

On Saturday, as WorldNetDaily reported, Vance sounded the alarm for America concerning serve violence in France, saying: “Western liberals imported the third world into France and other countries in the name of diversity and compassion. They ignored fundamental questions of assimilation and compatibility. They were told it would lead to this and they didn’t listen.”
“I hope Americans are paying attention. This is the future congressional Democrats seek for your country.”
