Nationalism vs. Globalism: The Western ‘civil war’ wages

Two vastly different economic and political systems are clashing in the West: globalism with its multinational elites and global banks headquartered in Europe and the U.S.; and nationalism, embodied by the American system under President Trump, aiming for national sovereignty, traditional values and self-governance.

This struggle is centuries-old. The world’s economic elites have long pushed for control over nation states, access to government funds and national wealth, dominating the political system in the effort to re-feudalize the West.

Senior geopolitical analysts at Promethean Action, Susan Kokinda and Barbara Boyd, point out in a recent interview with Jillian Michaels that the American Founding Fathers intended the U.S. to operate as a sovereign economic republic, one where the government supports economic independence and innovation.

However, for much of the past century, the U.S. has been dominated by a globalist system aligned with British globalist financial interests. This system’s tools, ranging from private central banking such as the privately owned at its top levels, Federal Reserve, to monopolistic cartels, concentrate power in elite hands and undermine national sovereignty.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is working to unravel these globalist networks and restore national sovereignty. The struggle involves breaking free from speculative finance bubbles, monopolistic economic sectors within pharmaceuticals, insurance, banking and agriculture, and the chronic media propaganda that always favors what benefits the globalist billionaire class.

As Bessent recently pointed out at the 2026 Reagan National Economic Forum, globalism has greatly weakened the United States, arguably by design, robbed the nation of its sovereignty and made it economically vulnerable by outsourcing its industry. America prioritized consumption over production, ignoring the consequences of relying on overseas goods as a measure of prosperity.

Especially since the mid-1980s, globalism has slowly eroded the economic strength of Western production and caused an unprecedented wealth transfer to the ultra-rich. The transnational, borderless corporate model has outsourced Western industries to low-cost countries such as China, which has impoverished the Western worker. While no longer paying taxes to specific nation states, these internationalist monopoly corporations are often registered in tax havens.

The benefits deriving from low-cost production and tax evasion is not redistributed back to regular citizens but has been accumulated by the trillions in the billionaire class’ bank accounts and asset management. The consequence is that local innovation, production, citizens’ rights and the interests of the people are undermined across the West.

This program of a globalized economy has caused a historic wealth transfer to what we today call the billionaire elite, which I have discussed in my bestselling book, “The Billionaire World. How Marxism Serves the Elite.” (2023) Atheist socialism-communism has been applied by the elites to crush precisely the traditional values that built the successful Western civilization.

Divisive narratives on race, gender and religion are manufactured distractions that weaken national unity and fuel societal decay. Socialist group-control movements are the very globalist tools used to erode Western Christian values and weaken the social cohesion necessary for national sovereignty.

What is unfolding before our very eyes is the re-feudalization and de-democratization of the West under the banners of “democracy” and “freedom.” While undermining citizen rights and freedom, the globalist leaders – who also own the monopolistic media – deliberately weaken nation states, gaining control over government funding and the ruling political class. Un-democratically elected billionaire elites increasingly become our rulers, and the wealth transfer from the middle-class to the top billionaire elite continues uninterrupted.

The Federal Reserve, established as a private central bank at its top levels, exemplifies how formal governance structures uphold foreign financial interests at odds with American sovereignty. The global financial system with mechanisms like unregulated offshore banking, equally operates as a powder keg that threatens national economic stability.

So, trade wars, geopolitical tensions, technological disputes on AI-SI and financial instability all display a variety of aspects of the same Western “civil war” between nationalism and globalism. The Middle East conflicts, notably with Iran and the influence of British intelligence in Islamic fundamentalism, are engineered crises designed to fracture sovereignty and control energy resource flows. These conflicts are parts of the very same chess game for global power.

President Trump’s recent United Nations General Assembly speech also illustrated this battle as he strongly critiqued globalist institutions like the U.N., the International Criminal Court, and U.N. Human Rights bodies for advancing agendas adverse to U.S. interests and the interests of nation states. By focusing on the globalist agenda, these bodies serve as tools of the billionaire elite to further the wealth gap between the rich and the poor worldwide. As globalism faces a serious push back, the hope is that America First will prevail.
