New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani and his former political opponent, Republican Curtis Sliwa, sat side by side on Friday as they each received their annual flu shots.

Sliwa, the founder of a nonprofit crime-fighting group called the Guardian Angels, also poked fun at how many times he has personally survived being shot by bullets, which, per the outlet, happened five times in the span of just one month in 1992.

“I know about getting shot,” Sliwa said.
