Right-wing activist and former YouTuber Laura Loomer admitted she feels like an “a**hole” for not caring about the Russia-Ukraine War and continually downplaying it for years.

“I feel like such an a**hole for minimizing the struggle of Ukrainians for the last 5 years. I often said I don’t care. Looking back, that wasn’t very nice of me to say,” Loomer said on X Tuesday.

“We have been so propagandized by Russia and we don’t even realize it.”

Loomer experienced her first air raid. She described blaring sirens and said, “This is everyday for every Ukrainian.”

Just experienced my first air raid in Ukraine.

Sirens blaring.

This is everyday for every Ukrainian.

I feel like such an asshole for minimizing the struggle of Ukrainians for the last 5 years. I often said I don’t care. Looking back, that wasn’t very nice of me to say.…

Loomer, a strong supporter of President Donald Trump, is known for her criticism of the Ukraine war, which she backed off from in June. She has questioned mainstream reporting about the war and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the U.S. supporting his government.

Loomer announced on X on June 17 that she “fell for Russian propaganda.”

“There are people in Ukraine who have to run to a bomb shelter everyday and some of us had the audacity to say Russia wasn’t wrong because we believed the lie that Ukraine is a country full of Nazi sympathizers,” Loomer said Tuesday.

She continued by praising Trump for his leadership in the United States.

“Air sirens could very well be the future of America if we don’t start demanding our lawmakers crack down on communism and multipolarity. We won’t have Trump forever and the axis of evil is moving fast,” Loomer said.

The office of the President of Ukraine highlighted Loomer’s visit on X Tuesday and said it’s important she “sees things with her own eyes as they are. There is no better way to get informed opinion than through personal experience which allows to deal with Russian propaganda.”

“Thank you, President Zelenskyy,” Loomer replied on X.

Conservative political commentator Marc Thiessen applauded Loomer for speaking up.

FBI DIRECTOR KASH PATEL SCHEDULES FALL TRIP TO RUSSIA: REPORT

“It takes courage and humility to not only admit you were wrong, but to do something to about it. @lauraloomer went into a war zone to see the truth about Putin’s crimes in Ukraine with her own eyes. She deserves enormous credit,” Thiessen said on X.

Loomer posted on X again on Tuesday, saying, “I support defeating communism. We as Americans need to have a conversation about what that looks like before we become a communist country.”
