Colorado is well known for its anti-Christian agenda under all Democrats in state government, including the state Supreme Court, and the leadership of homosexual Gov. Jared Polis.

Court justices there actually tried to banish President Donald Trump from the 2024 ballot, before being slapped down by the U.S. Supreme Court. State officials there repeatedly have taken Christians to court for refusing to adopt the state’s anti-Christian and pro-LGBT ideologies, only to be scolded by the U.S. Supreme Court. The state created a preschool subsidy program, then ruled Catholic preschools couldn’t participate.

The agenda has cost Colorado citizens millions of dollars in legal fees and costs for the lost political causes officials have adopted.

Now another of the state’s leftist agenda points is under fire.

It’s the state regulation that banishes pro-life speech within eight feet of another person when both people are inside a 100-feet perimeter around abortion industry businesses.

It is LifeNews that has profiled the new fight: the threats from the state to put Wendy Faustin in jail for giving women information about alternatives to abortion.

Her case is pending now before a federal appeals court.

“Faustin, who provides details on pregnancy resource centers, adoption agencies and fetal development to women considering abortion, is challenging a Colorado statute and Denver ordinance that bar individuals from knowingly approaching within eight feet of another person to distribute literature or engage in protest, education or counseling within 100 feet of an abortion center entrance. Violations are a petty offense punishable by a fine or possible short jail sentence,” the report said.

It was affirmed by a Supreme Court three decades ago, but that was when abortion promoters like David Souter, Sandra O’Connor, Ruth Ginsburg and John Paul Stevens, all gone now, were on the bench.

Faustin explained, “If you’re within 100 feet of the entrance to an abortion clinic, I can’t approach someone within 8 feet to give them any alternative information.”

But she feels women facing such critical life decisions need to have “all the possible information that she might need.”

Of course, abortion businesses like Planned Parenthood don’t want women having that access.

She’s challenging the law, and a federal judge rejected her concerns, so the fight now is before the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

The then-leftist U.S. Supreme Court affirmed Colorado’s interest in silencing pro-life messaging back in 2000.

But her lawyer, Roger Byron, senior counsel for First Liberty Institute, said the state is literally making it “a crime for Wendy to approach within 8 feet of a woman.”

He added that “what’s at stake is the free speech rights of anyone whose message is something other than what the government wants it to be” and that he suspects the case will ultimately reach the U.S. Supreme Court either way.
