Mikie Sherrill
New Jersey’s leftist governor, Mikie Sherrill, this week destroyed forever the leftist talking point that foreigners being added to voter registration lists doesn’t happen, so there’s literally no chance a foreigner ever could vote in an American election.
She did that by admitting that 6,600 foreigners had been added to her state’s voter lists during a process through which they were handed driver’s licenses – and permission to vote.
She even admitted 400 of those foreigners actually voted in elections.
And she blamed the catastrophe on a software “glitch.”
Not so, explains the company that provided the software.
According to a report at Just the News, software vendor IDEMIA, which works with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Division, confirmed the programming worked as it was supposed to operate, and it was the responsibility of the state government, “which is completely controlled by Democrats,” to verify eligibility.
“IDEMIA works with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, and has for more than 40 years, to support the process through which eligible individuals may indicate their interest in registering to vote when applying for or renewing a driver’s license or state-issued identification card. IDEMIA’s role is to transmit information through the motor vehicle system,” IDEMIA told the publication.
“The voter registration information is transmitted to the New Jersey Department of State, Division of Elections, which is ultimately responsible for verifying eligibility to vote. Information submitted by IDEMIA must still be validated and adjudicated by the Division of Elections.”
Sherrill claimed that license applicants “answered ‘no'” when asked on a keypad whether they were a U.S. citizen when applying for drivers’ licenses…” but the system “registered them anyway.”
WorldNetDaily had reported just a day earlier that the U.S. Department of Justice was launching an investigation into the violations of election law that developed in the state.
“This is unacceptable and illegal!” Harmeet Dhillon, assistant attorney general for civil rights, wrote in a social media statement accompanied by her letter to Sherrill.
Social media immediately delivered a reminder of the significance of every vote: “No biggie NJ just had 400 illegal votes 2008 Al Franken defeated Republican Norm Coleman by 312 2004 Christine Gregoire defeated Republican Dino Rossi by 133 votes 1998 Harry Reid defeated Republican John Ensign by 428 votes.”
Dhillon confirmed the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division will review New Jersey’s “unlawful dilution of American votes.”
“Ensuring that U.S. citizens’ votes are not illegally diluted by noncitizens’ votes is of paramount importance. We therefore write to formally request additional information to assess New Jersey’s compliance with various federal statutes, as provided in our July 7, 2026, letter to the lieutenant govewrnor,” Dhillon told Sherrill.
Among other things, the names and addresses of the 6,600 are needed, as well as when and where the 400 voted, Dhillon said.
The governor blamed it on software, but social media disbelieved her: “Computer code did it. That’s a lie. It’s not possible. Lying to law enforcement, in this case the DOJ itself, is a crime punishable by prison. Not good.”
“People belong in PRISON. THIS WAS NO SOFTWARE GLITCH. The software does exactly what it is told to do. Somebody told it to do it and it did it. Period. Full Stop.”
The reaction from the White House wasn’t a surprise. Spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said, “Democrats and their media allies have repeatedly said it is impossible for noncitizens to register to vote, let alone cast a ballot. Time and again, they have been proven wrong. As President Trump has said, there is nothing more important than the integrity of our elections. And this latest incident underscores the absolute necessity of the SAVE America Act.”
