BREAKING: President Trump Announces MAJOR Diesel Deal with Russia

This is great news for all Americans!

President Trump just announced a huge deal with Russia to pump millions of tons of diesel fuel into the United States.

The move will lower diesel fuel prices tremendously, especially for our farmers and truckers.

President Trump made the announcement after speaking to Russian President Vladimir Putin over the phone on Friday.

Read what he had to say in a post on Truth Social:

I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter. Additionally, based on the condition of their Diesel Refineries, Russia will then deliver, within a short period of time, 3,000,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel. Between our TOTAL CONTROL of the Strait of Hormuz, and this great announcement on Russian Energy, Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST! Lower prices for Americans, especially our Great Farmers, Ranchers, and Truckers, is my Greatest Priority. This is a very big and important announcement. Additionally, it must be understood, that Iran will not have a Nuclear Weapon! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

Just after President Trump struck this major deal with Putin to flood American markets with Russian diesel, the Treasury Department cleared the way to make it happen.

However, not everyone is happy (namely, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.)

CNBC reported:

The Treasury Department temporarily waived sanctions on Russian diesel through April 2027 under a general license issued Friday.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy immediately condemned Trump’s diesel deal with Putin. Zelenskyy warned that easing sanctions without a commitment from Russia to de-escalate will only prolong the war.

“Gifts to Putin will not bring peace or any benefit to the civilized world,” Zelenskyy said in a social media post. “Russia will ‘repay’ the diesel with further terror and perfidy. Allowing Russia to sell petroleum products is an investment in a war that must be ended, not prolonged.”

Diesel prices have surged around the world as Ukraine has pounded Russian refineries, forcing Moscow to ban diesel exports to the global market. Iran and its Houthi allies have also attacked refineries in the Middle East, further constraining fuel supplies.

Trump is under growing political pressure to take action to reduce fuel prices ahead of the November midterm elections. Republicans are facing competitive elections in conservative strongholds like Iowa, where farmers are feeling the pinch from high diesel prices.

But, President Trump’s deal with Russia reportedly has a larger backstory…

According to a U.S. official, President Trump struck the deal with Putin after Zelensky repeatedly ignored requests to stop hitting Russian oil refineries.

Per Axios:

President Trump decided to make a diesel fuel deal with Russia after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky ignored half a dozen U.S. requests to stop attacking Russian oil refineries, a U.S. official with direct knowledge told Axios.

Why it matters: Trump’s deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin sparked a new crisis with Ukraine and threatens to derail a new push by the Trump administration for a deal to end the war.

• “Zelensky is misreading the room. By continuing to hit refineries, he is eroding the good will that he has built with Trump over the last six months,” the U.S. official said.

• Zelensky, in an interview with Axios after the announcement, said he was blindsided by the deal, which he called “not fair and not honest” and an unwarranted gift to Putin.

Driving the news: Ukraine’s strikes on Russian oil refineries in recent months were highly effective and caused an energy crisis in Russia.

• Russia imposed a ban on diesel exports in response, which added more pressure to global diesel markets under strain from the war in Iran.

• Zelensky told Trump and his envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner that he was prepared to stop attacking Russian oil refineries if the Russians halted attacks on Ukrainian power plants.

• The U.S. official said Trump wanted Ukraine to unilaterally stop attacking Russian refineries because the strikes were contributing to high gas prices in America.

• Trump didn’t see the attacks on refineries as equivalent to Russian strikes on Ukraine’s power grid, the U.S. official said.

When asked by reporters about the diesel deal, President Trump confirmed it’s happening and expressed gratitude to Putin for his cooperation.
