While Sen. Bernie Moreno thinks the GOP will hold on to the Senate, the Republican from Ohio is urging his party to prepare a mega reconciliation package between the election and January to enact “all the Republican priorities that we can get done.”

Moreno said he believes it is “more likely” that Republicans will hold onto the Senate, currently at 53-47, as two independents caucus with Democrats. But, if they lose the House and the Senate, Moreno wants members to stay put “from Nov. 9 until Dec. 31 with no break at all,” as he told reporters on Thursday.

“Like, we’ll have turkeys here for Thanksgiving,” he said.

The senator has been urging a reconciliation bill “one way or the other.” If Republicans lose control of both chambers, it will be “the Last Supper,” Moreno said, in which lawmakers push “a giant reconciliation bill where we take all the Republican priorities that we can get done.”

Politico also highlighted Moreno’s concerns with a debt default, something he said “nobody wants to see” and “would be 1929 on steroids.”

Moreno isn’t the only one confident that Republicans will hold onto control of the Senate. Tony Kinnett, on Thursday’s episode of “The Tony Kinnett Cast,” predicted that Republicans will keep control of the House as well.
