After Five Consecutive Seasons, Pro Team Announces It Won’t Host ‘Pride Night’ Next Year

While the WNBA continues to dive deeper into the woke abyss, some other leagues are starting to recognize that, as AOC said, “Woke 1 was crazy.”

A recent example can be found in the Dallas Stars, which recently confirmed that its longstanding ‘Pride Night’ event wouldn’t extend to the 2026-27 season.

As Breitbart reported:

The NHL team did not provide a specific reason for dropping Pride Night in the coming season, which usually takes place in February or March. The team will instead reportedly “host a game dubbed ‘Hockey Unites Us: Women in Sports Night’ on March 23 against the Carolina Hurricanes,” per Dallas News.

“The new Hockey Unites Night allows our organization to use our platform to celebrate and support a different underrepresented community each season,” Stars spokesperson Joe Calvillo said in a statement.

Later in the same article:

“Last season, the Carolina Hurricanes, Los Angeles Kings and Utah Mammoth were the only three NHL teams not to host a night to celebrate LGBTQ+ inclusion,” noted the outlet. “The Boston Bruins have never hosted a dedicated Pride Night but include the LGBTQ+ community in their broader Hockey Is For Everyone celebration held annually since 2017-18.”

The announcement drew some social media attention:

Common sense coming back. I am a big common sense guy. Love to see it.

About time. And the Texas Rangers don’t play that political game either. Good for them both

WFAA added these details:

Other themed nights scheduled for the upcoming season include Noche Mexicana, Military Appreciation Night and Black History Night.

The Stars open their season against the St. Louis Blues at 8 p.m. Oct. 2.

Another North Texas sports franchise, the Texas Rangers are the only MLB team that does not host a Pride Night.
